Accessibility Policy
- Commitment to Inclusion: ValleyCon is dedicated to ensuring all attendees, regardless of ability, can fully participate.
- Accommodations:
- Wheelchair-accessible venues and restrooms.
- Reserved seating for individuals with disabilities.
- Service animals are welcome.
- Assistance: Attendees requiring specific accommodations should contact ValleyCon staff at least two weeks prior to the event. Please email staff@unforgivenproductions.com for any assistance you may need.
Props Policy
- General Guidelines:
- All props must be inspected and tagged by security upon entry.
- Real weapons, including firearms and sharp blades, are prohibited.
- Props should be clearly identifiable as non-functional.
- Specific Restrictions:
- No functioning projectile weapons (e.g., airsoft, nerf guns).
- Props should not emit smoke, liquids, or any hazardous materials.
- Conduct: Misuse of props may result in confiscation and potential removal from the event.
Costume Policy
- Appropriateness:
- Costumes must not contain offensive symbols or imagery, including hate symbols or obscene content.
- Costumes should be suitable for a family-friendly environment.
- Safety:
- Costumes should not impede movement or pose hazards to others.
- No costumes that expel substances or have sharp protrusions.
- Consent: “Cosplay is not consent.” Always ask before photographing or touching cosplayers.
Pass Policy
- Admission:
- All attendees must wear their badges visibly at all times.
- Badges are non-transferable and must be presented upon request.
- Refunds: All sales are final; no refunds will be issued.
- Conduct: Violation of event policies may result in badge revocation without refund.
Code of Conduct
- Expected Behavior:
- Treat all attendees, staff, and guests with respect.
- Follow all event rules and staff instructions.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.
- Prohibited Behavior:
- Harassment, discrimination, or any form of abusive behavior.
- Disruption of events or panels.
- Unauthorized solicitation or distribution of materials.
- Reporting: Incidents should be reported to event staff or security immediately.
- New Rules: If we have to make a new rule, because of something you do, that rule will be named after YOU!!!!!
Anti-Harassment Policy
- Zero Tolerance: Harassment of any kind is not tolerated.
- Definition: Harassment includes offensive verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, unwelcome physical contact, and inappropriate photography.
- Scope: This policy applies to all event spaces, including panels, workshops, and online platforms.
- Action: Violators may be expelled without refund and reported to authorities if necessary.
Safety Policy
- General Safety:
- Follow all posted signs and staff instructions.
- Do not obstruct aisles, exits, or emergency equipment.
- Report any suspicious activity to security.
- Emergency Procedures:
- In case of emergency, follow the evacuation instructions provided by staff.
- First aid stations are available; contact staff for assistance.
- Personal Responsibility: Keep personal belongings secure and be aware of your surroundings.
Vendor Participation Disclaimer
The Event reserves the absolute right to accept, deny, or revoke any vendor application at its sole and exclusive discretion. Applications may be refused or canceled for any reason deemed necessary by the Event organizers, including but not limited to concerns regarding compliance with event policies, alignment with event values, or the protection of the Event’s reputation and integrity. Decisions are final and may be made without explanation or liability to the applicant.
